Winter’s Monochromatic Beauty

I found serenity on a gray, snowy winter day recently.  The monochromatic world offered an unencumbered blank canvas for thought and discovery while I was out on a walk.  With one train of thought leading to another, captivating details emerged.  The absence of color prompted an awareness of structure, pattern, and texture in both natural and man made structures.  Upon closer inspection, I discovered the day wasn’t so monochromatic after all.
